Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead (Potash)

This is a great opportunity to lead in one of the largest and more recognized projects in the province. As Mechanical Engineering lead, you will have autonomy and responsibilities for the performance of the project mechanical engineering team. Determine required resource; assist in the development and recruitment of the mechanical team. Interim or permanent relocation provided to Saskatoon.

Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility for providing technical leadership to the project mechanical engineers and designers
• Oversee quality of work, schedule and budgets for the mechanical team
• Develop and maintain Continuous Improvement and Learning records throughout the project to be used as a mentoring tool for similar projects and young engineers
• Coordination with other disciplines, project management team, vendors and clients to facilitate communication and project deliverables
• Manage equipment packages from selection and preparation of technical specifications to bid evaluation stage through to installation and commissioning
• Participate in design reviews on various projects and provide technical input


Qualifications:

• 12+ years industry experiences, most recent years in mining, Potash experiences will be highly regarded
• B.Sc. Mechanical Engineer or extensive applicable engineering experiences
• Demonstrated ability to lead internal teams
• Seasoned in working with clients
• Innate Continuous Improvement mindset
